A day to remember…A day to pray…A day to celebrate…
My family and I along with many others celebrated Veteran’s Day at the Grady County Courthouse today, November 11, 2011 at 11am…How ironic is that? It was a beautiful day to sit among such amazing people. I’m very thankful that I was able to celebrate this day with my husband, Stacy, & my family! I loved the poem, “Bury Me With Soldiers” read by Jesse Hobby, U.S. Army Retired. And then Retired Lt. Col. Dr. Doc R. Williams shared a great inspirational tribute to all of our Military people. We were well represented as well by the Cairo High School NJ ROTC and CHS Band! They always do an amazing job…But I tell you, when Mrs. Diane, Pastor Johnny Moore and Anna Moore sang, “God Bless the USA”, I shed many tears!!! That song always gets to me…to think about all we take for granted in our busy lives, day in and day out…It really brings you back to the reality of whats important! Family and supporting our Military Persons and their families… Thank you Joey Knight for the resounding trumpet playing of Taps….You did an excellent job!!!
I know I’m rambling some but these were some of the MANY thoughts going through my mind today as I took pictures of everyone there… Most importantly, thank you Stacy Watkins (my husband) for serving in our military and all that you do! I love you…. OH RAH!!! Marines Rock!!!
Please, take a moment and leave me a comment of what Veterans Day means to you…
Thank you to all our Veterans of America! Thank you to all that participated in todays Veteran’s Day Celebration…Especially those behind the scenes that made today’s event successful!
Here are two fantastic students I’ve gotten to know over this school year! They are cousins Dominique & TJ…Dominique plays softball for Cairo High has a great sense of humor and is a real go-getter!! TJ is this year’s Cairo High Homecoming King and plays for The CHS Syrupmakers Football team, he is #5…I tell ya the athleticism must run in the family because both of these students are fantastic athletes!!! Now on to the good stuff…both should be models!!!

I had the opportunity to photograph the most amazing, young couple ever last Sunday! They are expecting their first child, Jackson Cooper Lamb! They are such a loving & hot looking couple, I can only imagine what that “Little Lamb” will look like!!! Thank goodness the weather held out for us & we finished just in time as the heat was becoming unbearable & the gnats were about to tote Joe off!!! Gotta love South Georgia in the Dog Days of Summer….
Ms. Sailor was back in the studio with Ms. Patsy a couple of days ago and boy she is still as cute as ever!!! Well, Pattycake brought all the props sent by mom & dad!!! As you can tell dad is an Ohio State Fan! We had a great time and little Sailor grew tired but she hung with us. Here are a few of her images. Check them out and leave us some comments, we love to know what you think.

My family and I attended the Memorial Day Services held in Cairo, GA this morning and I must say, I was very moved with emotion. I am so thankful that I’m an AMERICAN! These men & women (including my loving husband) that have served & currently serving should be thanked everyday, but especially today. If you know someone in that has served our country, present or past, please take a moment to thank them or even a moment of silence to honor and respect them & their families.
Here are few images from this morning. And to my husband Stacy, thank you! Ohhh Rah!!! Love a Marine! This is for you! USMCCadenceMedley
